CYPHERS

Cyphers in breakdancing are a way for b-boys to gather around in a circle and just dance. When it comes to cyphers, they are basically just a way for a b-boy to dance just for the fun of dancing. There are no battles when it comes to cyphers, but there would be times when a random dancer would come out of no where and challenge a fellow dancer during a cypher. At that point, when a b-boy challenges another b-boy during a cypher, it is up to that b-boy being challenged to decide if he wants to battle in the cypher or not. From my experience with these battles within a cypher is that I have never seen a b-boy back down from a challenge within a cypher which means that the challenged b-boy is dancing to respond back at the challenger b-boy.

When it comes to cyphers I feel that it is also an awesome opportunity to witness other dancers dance in ways other b-boys have not seen before. Anything can happen within a cypher if it's a new b-boy dancing in the cypher and showing off his own hard earned moves on the floor, or from a veteran b-boy show casing that he is can show up any b-boy in the cypher. Cyphers can happen at any place and at any time if its from a jam, a random public place, or from anywhere within the world that a cypher can take pace at. Lastly cyphers are meant to express ones self and have fun while breakdancing.
